Quakers in Criminal Justice

August 2008 Newsletter

Editorial

I make no apologies for this unusual issue of the QICJ Newsletter, weighted as it is by book reviews. I welcome the chance for a comprehensive discussion of many of the deeper issues we must all consider from time to time as we tour the prison landings or sit in court. I am grateful to Jessica Kingsley for the excellent run of books they provide in areas of concern to many Friends. The books are hardly holiday reading, but there are matters of great interest in every one. I should welcome comments on these reviews for our next issue.
